A small earthenware coffee can printed in blue and painted overglaze in red with a sprig-type pattern.  Variations of this design were produced.  They are commonly referred to as Stylized Floral patterns.  Of particular interest is the early, and considered rare, impressed mark by the prominent retailer Mortlock.  Established in 1746, the company played a dominant role in the china and glass trade for nearly two centuries, ceasing operations in 1930.
