Maker: Unknown Description: Bone china cup and saucer, printed in black. The saucer and one side of the cup with a design titled "EXHIBITION BUILDING 1862" and "EXHIBITION 1862" respectively. The design represents the East view of the "International Exhibition of the Industrial Arts and Manufactures and the fine arts, of all nations", held in London in 1862, and is taken from the frontispiece of the catalog published in 1863. The reverse of the teacup has a print with emblems of Britain's industries and export trade. |
