Description:

An earthenware dessert plate. Printed in blue with the River Fishing pattern. Two men fish below a small waterfall beyond which cows drink, women gather something and a watermill turns. In the distance a mansion and other buildings complete a pleasant pastoral scene.  Documented in A. W. Coysh, Blue and White Transfer Ware 1780-1840, 1st edition 1970, p. 49, #61, is a platter in this pattern with a similar impressed MEIR mark.
