Description:

An earthenware plate printed  in blue with the Fisherman's Tale pattern with an octagonal indented rim and a flat bottom without a foot ring.  It is one of eight patterns in a series named Gothic Ruins, sometimes also known as the Fisherman Series. It has a rare impressed maker's mark with upper and lower case characters arranged in a slightly distorted arc.
