Description:

An earthenware moon shaped flask printed in a pattern also found on children's wares.  Under the pattern itself on this side of the flask is printed in brown "AWAY TO CALIFORNIA" and "CALIFORNIA DIGGINGS".  The border is printed in blue and is a design used on another John Thomson pattern named Ivanhoe.  The size of the flask is unknown.  Thomson also used the name "California Diggings" for another pattern different from this design.
