Description:

A large earthenware platter produced for the series. The more common name used for the series is America and Independence, due to those words appearing on the plate.  This view is No.6 in David and Linda Arman's Historical Staffordshire, and Illustrated Checklist, 1974. This is the only view in the series for which a source print has not yet been found. The Armans named this scene Mansion, Foreground a Lake with Swans.
