Pattern Source Source Description: The source print is from an engraving made in 1802 by J. Scott after the artwork of S. Gilpin, R.A. (1733-1807). Gilpin's sketch was made in 1772, and was later used as an illustration for Reverend W.B. Daniel's Rural Sports: Volume I, 1801. The illustration is from the 1812 printing by Longman, Hurst, Rees & Orr in London. Juno is the white dog and Pluto is the black dog. |
