The border cartouche animals going clockwise from the top are: Jackel from The General History of Quadrupeds by Thomas Bewick, 1790; possibly an Ichneumon; Raccoon from Bewick; and Ground Squirrel from A Cabinet of Quadrupeds by John Church, 1805.
