An earthenware plate printed in brown with a pattern named Deak.  The pattern was registered in 1880.  During a period when designs were often asymmetrical, this pattern is fashioned with symmetry clearly in mind. The central curvilinear arrangement of small chained flowers accented with darker stylized leaf formations become the outline elements of one large central flower. These same components appear again in the border, which frames the open space around the central flower.
