Description:

A twelve-sided ironstone plate with a center landscape scene printed in blue and the border printed in black. This plate contains one of the views in the Eon Series consisting of  romantic scenes depicting windmills in rural landscapes. The series was registered on February 10, 1853. The border design consists of  four reserves -- two containing a windmill set in a river landscape, and two with a pastoral scene of men and farm animals with a cart. The series was produced in blue, brown, purple, black, and multicolored versions.
