Maker: William Adams & Sons Maker's Mark: Description: A scalloped earthenware plate printed in red and black in one scene from the Andalusia Series of patterns by William Adams and Sons. This pattern was made in four different colors and first appeared on a May 8,1835 factory invoice. A variety of romantic views of ladies and gentlemen on horseback, usually accompanied by dogs, are featured on different tableware pieces. A domed gazebo on a distant hill can usually be seen in the background. An impressed ADAMS mark is also found on the underside of the plate. |
