Maker: Spode Maker's Mark: Description: An octagonal indented stone china dinner plate printed in blue and colored in underglaze with additional overglaze enameling and gilding. The Chinese inspired design is pattern 2117. It is an interesting pattern with dark blue ribbon-like motifs combined with a branch design beginning at the edge of the plate all of which surrounds and extends from the narrow inner border that surrounds a small floral spray. The outer border has several sizes of flowers with the smaller ones to one side. These floral groups are interrupted by the dark blue ribbon and long green leaves. |
