This example is from Riley's Large Scroll Border series which was made primarily for the export market. Kings Weston is a fine country house designed by Sir John Vanburgh for Edward Southwell and completed in 1725. Edward's father had been Clerk to the Council of King Charles II and Edward was MP for Bristol. The house is now a Conference Centre. |
