Maker: Unknown Description: An indented white salt glazed stoneware plate with a molded dot and diaper order, the center with an armorial crest and motto Quod Ero Spero printed in red. The translation of this Latin phrase can vary, however one version is I will always hope. The plate was probably made in Staffordshire and decorated by specialist printers elsewhere, perhaps in Birmingham or in Battersea, London.
