Description:

An earthenware plate printed in blue with a view of the Baily Lighthouse on Howth Head, on the north side of Dublin bay. The floral border is printed in red. It is one of the patterns produced for the Hibernia Series.  Hibernia is the ancient Latin name for Ireland, and all of the known views recorded in this series are Irish.  This example is unmarked.
