Description:

A large earthenware platter printed in purple in the Warwick Vase pattern. It is part of a series that varies slightly on nearly every size and shape.  It is printed in more than one color including pink, purple and brown. The Warwick Vase pattern commemorates the Greek vase whose ruins were found in Italy in the 2nd century AD.  The pieces were subsequently moved to England where they were restored by the family of the Earl of Warwick and installed in Warwick Castle in 1774.
