John Howell named this oriental landscape Island with Tall Trees in his review of Lowestoft printed patterns in ECC Transactions 7 (3).  At other factories where the design was used, Worcester, Caughley and John Pennington's Liverpool, it is usually referred to as the Rock Strata Island. However, at Worcester and Caughley, the pattern is painted and John Pennington produced both painted and printed versions.
