Description:

Transfer printed dust-pressed tile with neo-classical design printed in monochrome over a white engobe. Aside from Mintons, Maw & Co. were one of the most successful factories producing tiles.  Production was established at Benthall Works, Broseley, nr. Jackfield, Shropshire from 1852-83, then at Jackfield until 1969.
