Description:

A toy mug printed in black and painted underglaze in a pattern depicting a peacock roosted on a fence or wall. Machine turned base.  Geometric pattern on the inner border.  Painted handle.  A second similarly shaped mug, only slightly larger, with a different pattern is included below.  These toy pieces are attributed to the Don Potter and are documented in John Griffith's book titled The Don Pottery, 1801-1893, page 126.
