An early earthenware plate with scalloped and feather edge printed in blue with the Lady with Parasol pattern. The feathered edge has been hand painted. It was printed in reverse of the way in which it appears in other examples produced by several makers. The lattice border with inter-spaced half rosettes is the same inner border usually found with the Boy on a Buffalo pattern. Added to the inside of the border is a string of tri-foliate leaves, each of which has two dots below the center leaflet. Thomas Hawley is believed to be the maker.
