Description:

An earthenware deep plate or charger multicolor printed with a landscape scene in the center and a golden brown border pattern named Festoon Border.   This is the only recorded example with the Festoon Border mark that is multi-plate, multicolor printed using four separate engraved plates for the center pattern, one for each color; green, yellow, blue, and black.  Most of the versions of Wood’s Festoon Border patterns were either printed in one or two colors.  For detail of the center pattern, see below.
