Description:

A molded and indented pearlware dinner plate printed in blue in a line-engraved pattern given the name The Apothecary.  The inner border is printed in the Butterfly or Moth pattern with the outer border consisting a six floral sprays.  This pattern can also be seen in the exhibit in a printed and painted version with a different border.  The source of the pattern is a Jean Baptiste Pillement design shown below.
