Description:

A scalloped edge earthenware platter printed in brown in the center and blue in the border. Featured here is one of the known fishing scenes that Enoch Wood & Sons combined with various borders designs. The pattern series is named Fisherman and the name appears in the mark along with the maker's initials.  This central design is paired with a Diamond Border. A second example for this series is shown below using a different border pattern. The TCC Pattern and Source Print Database has recorded a total of eight distinct designs used in this series. It was printed in combinations of two colors as well as in a single color.  At least four different border patterns are known (see a second example below).
