Description:

A pair of earthenware whippet-shaped quill stands with the bases transfer-printed in blue with the Standard Willow border pattern.  The animals are hand painted in rust and the features are painted in black.  The base is indented in the front. While many examples of fully painted quill stands can still be found today, examples with a printed base are seldom seen and are considered rare.
