A hard-paste porcelain saucer bat-printed in blue with a young woman in a garden, gold leafy border and rim, pattern 487, unmarked. The print is taken from a painting of Lady Hamilton by Thomas Baxter who stayed with Lord Nelson at Merton in 1801 and decorated a set of five Worcester vases to order depicting Lady Hamilton in a series of poses in the garden.
