|
Shape Type: Miscellaneous Pattern Type: Chinese, Asian and Other Exotic Themes Date: 1874-1890 Dimensions:
Maker: George Jones Maker's Mark: Description: A set of four earthenware spirit jugs printed in dark blue with the Standard Willow pattern. It appears to be a compiled set as two have double borders on the base, and two have single borders. There is some slight variation in color as well. They have old hand-made corks, but not the originals. One of the jugs has an impressed George Jones mark. The blue printed letters indicate what each jug would have contained: G=Gin, R=Rum, SW=Scotch Whiskey, and B=Brandy. |
