EARTHENWARE MERCHANT, WAREHOUSE & SHOW ROOM, 49 CHAPEL STREET, SOUTHPORT". Copeland may have been the manufacturer based on surviving records indicating dealings with this retailer. Also noted was an advertisement in the Southport Trades Directory in 1894 with almost identical wording as on the plate.
