Opposite side of the jug is titled  SECOND VIEW OF COM. PERRY'S VICTORY which depicts the second phase of the Battle of Lake Erie on September 10, 1813. The print captures the moment when Commander Oliver Hazard Perry orders his ships to bear down on the attacking British vessels. This daring action broke the British formation, and her scattered ships soon surrendered.
