Maker: John Hall (& Sons) Maker's Mark: Description: An earthenware plate printed in blue with the Lion pattern. The animals in the cartouches are clockwise from the top: recumbent deer, Zebra, goats, and horses. The only identified source print for the border cartouches so far is Zebra from A Cabinet of Quadrupeds by John Church, 1805. The Lion pattern is also found on a 12.5 inch beaded rim bowl.
