A Cipriani drawing of Bacchanalian cherubs engraved by Francesco Bartolozzi. This engraving is from a set of three prints known as Pergolesi Ornaments. This particular print was published according to an Act of Parliament on the 29th February 1782.Additional Image:

Description:
An indented earthenware child's plate transfer printed in green underglaze having additional enameling with purple on the grapes and yellow on the leaves and the ground below. The source for this pattern is a print of a Cipriani drawing of Bacchanalian cherubs engraved by Francesco Bartolozzi and with naively enameled molded flowers around the rim, no factory marks.
