The source print, Tibetian Musk, is from A Cabinet Of Quadrupeds by John Church, 1805.  The engraving is by James Tookey and the artist is Julius Caesar Ibbetson.

The source print, Ibex & Chamois Goat, is from A Cabinet Of Quadrupeds by John Church, 1805.  The engraving is by James Tookey and the artist is Julius Caesar Ibbetson.  Notice that only the Chamoix Goat was used for the lid.  It appears on both sides. The Ibex was used on a plate which is found in this exhibition.

Description:

An earthenware sauce tureen printed in blue with the Tibetian Musk (deer) pattern.  The lid features the Chamois Goat seen below and the under tray is printed with the Spotted Hyena pattern which is also included in this exhibition. No dimensions have been given and the tureen is not marked.
