Tin-glazed earthenware (so-called delftware) tile printed in black in Liverpool by Guy Green with "A Modern Demirep on the Look-Out", an image of a fashionably dressed prostitute which must date from after 1771 when the source print was published. On the tile the woman has been transformed into respectability by removing the caption and putting her in a rural setting. The design is no. D5-25 in Anthony Ray's Liverpool Printed Tiles (1994).
