Description:

A pearlware jug printed in brown and colored in underglaze in the Chinese Raft pattern with a faint blue wash on the very edge of the rim.  A possible attribution to Herculaneum was made of a similar pattern due to the shape of a coffee pot, c.1810.  The prominent feature is a boy on a raft.  The border incorporates selected scenes from the central...
