This example of the same pattern is printed in blue on a plate of similar size with an impressed "DONOVAN" mark as shown above.  James Donovan was a successful glass and china merchant and decorator at George's Quay, Dublin, Ireland. The DONOVAN marked version may be attributed to Davenport as other pottery items produced by Davenport are known to have the impressed DONOVAN mark.  Reference Godden, Geoffrey and Lockett, Terence A.  Davenport China, Earthenware & Glass 1794-1887.

Description:

Earthenware plate printed in blue. The rim has eight light scallops and the bottom is flat without a foot ring. The pattern is known as Chinese Fishermen or Fishing Family.  The makers mark is rare and found on early earthenware, it measures 1.75 inches by 1.875 inches

Also shown below is a the same pattern with an impressed "DONOVAN" mark which may be attributed to Davenport.
