Description:

An earthenware plate printed in dark blue with a named view Kingsweston, Gloucestershire.  This example is from Riley's Large Scroll Border series which was made primarily for the export market.  Kings Weston is a fine country house designed by Sir John Vanburgh for Edward Southwell and completed in 1725. Edward's father had been Clerk to the Council of King Charles II and Edward was
