Description:
An earthenware plate in Grecian shape with pattern number 6445 and named Dwarf Iris (see image of mark below). The central print is of a dwarf iris printed in green. The border is printed in brown with the Convolvulus Border. Print number P.525; reference Drakard, David and Holdway, Paul. Spode Transfer Printed Ware, 1784-1833. Woodbridge, Suffolk Antique Collector's Club, Inc., 2002. The border pattern and iris are both highlighted overglaze with gilding.
