Description:

This large aesthetic movement earthenware plate is printed in dark brown. The pattern features exotic blooming orchids and wildflowers mixed with maiden hair fern fronds and two cartouches; one of Ponton Chateau in Berlin, Germany and the other of Wolfe's Monument in Quebec, Canada.

Ponton Chateau marks the very spot where the larger-than-life English general James Wolfe received his fatal musket wound in the closing...
