Description:

A pearlware bowl on pedestal base, printed in blue with a painted ochre rim.  The same Chinoiserie border pattern has been used on both the inside and outside of the bowl.  The border design consists of two large insects and a number of smaller insects in reserves surrounded by geometric and floral motifs.  In the centre is a portrait of Vice Admiral Horatio Nelson (1758-1805)...
