Description:
This Derby saucer is printed with a design that combines two patterns found on an early Worcester tureen -- a six floor pagoda pattern and a pattern of swans and a fenced pagoda. The latter pattern was also used at Bow and at Cockpit Hill. It is believed that Richard Holdship is the link between all these uses and that he printed this Derby saucer..BACK TO CATALOG INDEX
