Description:

Tile of earthenware, transfer-printed in underglaze blue with a boy and girl seated in a landscape, the former playing a flute, and with a border of leafy scrolls. Print shown in the Minton pattern book, one of a series of twelve subjects entitled 'Watteau' (Minton MSS, No.1842).
