Maker: George Woolliscroft and Sons. Description: Transfer printed and hand coloured dust-pressed tile with a Japonnaiserie design of a fan, a bamboo table and other motifs printed in brown with polychrome tinting on an off-white ground. This tile is in identical style to a set produced by Sherwin and Cotton in the 1880s, and is probably plagiarised from that source.
