Vase of gentle tapered form on round base, two handles at the shoulder and a flared neck. Printed and coloured figures on a black ground titled on the base as 'VICTORS OF PUBLIC GAMES fulfilling their Vows in the TEMPLE of VENUS'.Further decorative bands around the shoulder and base.Look for a similar pattern on this site attributed to Samuel Alcock.BACK TO CATALOG INDEX
