Description:

This bell shaped Bow mug is printed in black with two chinoiserie designs representing the Elements.  One side, depicting La Terre (Earth), shows a Chinese woman standing in a garden setting, leaning her left arm on an urn.  On the ground to the right is an Chinese man offering her a potted plant.  The design occurs at an earlier date on Worcester and later on Bristol hard-paste porcelain.
