A pearlware tray with elegantly molded leaf-shaped handles, printed with a line engraved version of the Two Figures II pattern which is based on a Chinese original export porcelain design.  Robert Copeland refers the pattern as the standard version of Two Figures II.  Reference Copeland, Robert. Spode's Willow Pattern and Other Designs after the Chinese, p. 69, plate 7.  The border pattern consists of geometric shapes and oriental symbols including butterflies and scrolls. This border is also commonly found on the Full Nankin pattern.  The maker of the printed leaf spray mark remains unconfirmed.
